The Nature Conservancy is working their way up on my cool list. This large new tract of land in Nags Head Woods that I have been flying my birds on belongs to the Nature Conservancy. They seem to have a realistic view of balanced ecosystems that include both prey species and predators. They do both have their place, after all. And in the absence of apex predators, it is not unrealistic to have humans take their place.
Here is a good falconry article written on their blog.
